BC Civil Liberties Association Steps Up To Bat for University of Victoria Prolife Club

It’s the University of Victoria’s turn to have rogue student campus leaders attempt to silence a pro-life club (in this case, Youth Protecting Youth). Watch this news report (via Queen’s Alive).

I can’t imagine how anyone could possible take these complaints seriously. This is harassment? That warrants censorship?

It’s a transparent case of pro-choice student society leaders simply not liking the message. Disagreement doesn’t warrant censorship. These pro-choice student groups are increasingly turning to frivolous complaints in order to justify a ridiculous abuse of power that wasn’t working before. How much will it take before they actually feel embarrassed for such cowardly actions?

I applaud the BC Civil Liberties association for standing up for Youth Protecting Youth.

We’re very concerned that a student society on a public university campus would use what little power it had to silence a group because it holds views that are antithetical, or offensive to their views.
